Welcome to Hāsel House! My name is Ashley; owner and teacher. I taught in public education for more than twelve years, with the majority of those years spent in early childhood and special education. In June of 2024, I took time off to support my family as they faced some medical challenges. This is when my own homeschool journey began with my sons. After research, trial and error, and time involved in the homeschool community, I had a strong desire to open a hybrid homeschool in Deer Park. I missed the education world and began to dream up the kind of school that I have always felt my children and my previous students deserve. Hāsel House is that dream realized, with the help and support of my family and several educator friends who took a leap of faith with me!
I graduated with my bachelors degree in behavioral science in 2012. I hold teaching certifications in general education, special education, ESL, and have completed the Texas Reading Academy certification through TEA.
I am a disciple of Jesus above all else. I am married to my best friend, Brent, who I have known since I was in the 6th grade. We have 2 amazing sons, and an energetic teacup-golden doodle.

MB graduated with a bachelors degree in education from the University of Houston in 2007. She has taught for more than fifteen years, with a passion for special education and early childhood education. She is an advocate for inclusion and has created lasting relationships with her students and their families. She is a calming presence and someone that students often go to for comfort or to share in their excitement. She is dedicated to her students, and is the most amazing example of love and patience. MB is married with 2 sons, and 2 sweet puppies. We are so blessed to have her at Hasel House!
